Which one is best ?

rogergarinmichaud

Good day forum members. I have both French and Australian passport. So which one is best to use while trying to come and stay in Vietnam for a few months per year (3 or 6)

Right now we used the French one, no need for a visa and we were given 45 days to stay...

Thanks for your help, truly appreciated.

Hi there rogergarinmichaud. Welcome to the forum.

If you don't mind exiting the country (being permitted to immediately reenter) every 45 days, your French passport would be my preference. As you said, no visa application, no fee(s), no (possible, of late) time out of country waiting for eVisa approval. Not so with your Australian passport, though your eVisa's validity would be for 90 days.

Exit/entrance available through either an approved land border crossing or through int'l airport(s) with either passport.

Hope that helps.

You're quite welcome.

Please keep the forum updated on your border-run experiences, using either of your passports.
