I got a call from a immigration company, is it a bad sign?

Hi guys,
I applied for my PR in April, but there have been no updates since then.
I just got a call from an immigration company and I’m quite worried about this (I've checked the ICA website, and it's still pending).
Because the last time I applied for PR, I also received a rejection letter after receiving a call from an immigration company.
Could history be repeated? cry me a river
