Unusual: Leasing house in green zone

Post new topic

keyideain

Hello fellow islanders. I came across unusual situation and would love your advice.

I found a building of 3 rooms, simple balinese cement construction (may be farm house before) where currently live few Balinese, with rooms, kitchen and bath, on 3 are of ricefield land. It does need renovation.

I love the location and wanted to lease it long-term, however apparently it stands in green zone, and the building is not registered.

My first question is if i rent it and start renovations, would this create possibility of people coming and saying that this is green zone and i have no right to live here in unregistered building?

My second question, if no problem, can i build out of wood shala for practice, simple joglo style space, or even for those things you need a permit?

many thanks for your kind support

Illegal buildings are commonly left alone unless they attract attention.

One complaint and it might well be pulled down.

It's a very bad idea to get involved, and it could be an expensive one.
