Hi all, kinda cheating I’m not a expat but one of those horrible tourist types jumping on the back of this forum. I’ve been to Da nang several times and coming back with my wife (36yrs) for the first time. I don’t know if she will love as much as me so I’m asking is it safe to to book our return flight to Bangkok while we are actually on holiday. Ive done this before so I’m asking if its easy/cheap enough to this way??

Any import would be really appreciated.

I hope you realize this is a universal question that doesn't have much if any specific set of considerations here in Vietnam.

If you safely lock in a flight well in advance of departure that can be a good thing, unless of course your circumstances change and you need to change the flight.

That can be especially distressful if you booked a low-cost, no refund fare.

Or you can choose to book a flight within a few days or a week of your departure and that is often possible except for during certain high travel times.

It won't be as cheap to do but it also allows you more flexibility when your plans might change at the last moment.

The only thing we can tell you specifically about flights from Đà Nẵng to Thailand is that there are many and usually highly available within a week or two of your departure.

Again there are exceptions based upon the time of year and whether there is a special event either here in Vietnam or there in Thailand.

Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

@OceanBeach92107 Thanks for the reply I guess I just wanted to know the availability in May.

if it costs a little more to book a week before to return to BKK we will bite the bullet.

Again thanks for input.

You really are an ungrateful S__.

You asked and I provided the best guidance I could based on my 6 years here since returning in 2018.

Google Flights is an awesome tool that can give you much more specific and helpful guidance than one of us saying, "No problem! Just come!"

You are requesting info based on plans 9 months from now.

If my answers aren't helpful, may I suggest that you book and pay for the services of a professional travel agent.
