Renewal for spass

jaibrieldylan

When my principal try to process my spass renewal, the 1st time she submitted, the system said, the salary is not enough. But then the 2nd try my principal changed already the salary still cannot submitted. May I know what are the reasons why?

If the message "salary too low" does not appear any longer, it must be another reason.

But your short message gives no clue as to what that reason could be. Is there another message?

In any case, your employer should know how to do these things. If not, maybe it's time to change!

I am currently working under Spass and get a new job. My new employer did a self-assessment on Quota and salary check before submitting my Spass and all were perfectly well-fit. But it showed unsuccessful due to the reason ´Your fixed monthly allowance seems high’ and also said ´If you wish to employ him/her, you can appeal and account for fixed monthly allowance and review salary breakdown for our consideration’. The HR said she lower the monthly allowance and submitted the appeal a week ago and I am aware that review might take two to four weeks minimum. But in my case, do you see any success rate for this kind of reason? Probably in two weeks?

thanks a lot for your comments…

@tyadanar14 Why would you agree to a lower salary than originally agreed upon?!?

(And please don't post the same message on the forum more than once! I deleted the other one.)

@beppi

Hi Beppi, the total salary is the same as the agreed salary which also qualifies SAT assessed salary. But, turns out the MOM salary breakdown is Basic Salary + Fixed Monthly Allowance = Total Salary (agreed salary). So, the admin submitted "fixed monthly allowance" range is a bit higher (seems the allowance amount shall be not more than $300 or smth), perhaps. That caused my application unsuccessful. I just wondering how the appeal processing can be and my case to be considered as not such a big deal to MOM. Were there any case of success after two weeks? Finger-crossed!! (It my ignorance for posting it twice since I am quite a new user and didn't familiar when i posted, my apology!)

@tyadanar14 An appeal without changing anything (i.e. the overall remuneration remains the same) will not be successful - and MoM is good at spotting such tricks by employers.

Time to look for another job!

@beppi

The HR showed me that they amended the fixed monthly allowance. For example, initially: SAT qualified salary = $4500 (basic $4000 + fixed monthly allowance $500). When MOM said to amend the fixed monthly allowance to lower, the HR amened as basic $4300 + allowance $200). Given my experience as per SAT assessment, the salary can't be lower than $4500 and higher $4500 too. That's why I am seeking any advice for similar case like mine.

@tyadanar14 Then my answer is correct. MoM will see that nothing has changed!
