Welcome to the expat.com Vietnam forum.

Have you taken a look at our "Jobs" postings, here?

You might also want to upload your CV for employers to view.

Best of luck.

No, sorry, I do not.

Vietnam Teaching Jobs has a good listing of available jobs (although I haven't had much luck--I think the market has become saturated). We cannot direct link to websites so you'll have to type it in your browser: vietnamteachingjobs dot com

I'm taking a guess they get a commission for sending you to employers.

As long as they don't ask you for cash, they are probably okay.

I have no idea about salaries over there, but others might.

Unfortunately, you are not the only person from an African nation who has been misled into believing that ESL teaching jobs are readily available for English-speaking citizens of all nations.

It should be noted that the subjects of this article are working illegally for poverty levels of shelter & subsistence.

What country are you wanting a job in? Here in Vietnam you’ll need a BA (any discipline), certification to teach English (TEFL or similar) and a criminal background check. The school/English center that hires you will take care of the rest.

English teaching jobs are plentiful here. I recommend you print off several copies of your CV/Resume and put some boots on the ground - just walk in to any school/center that interests you, introduce yourself and tell them your looking for a job. You’ll be working in no time.

P.S. I’ve been retired for a couple of years and things are always changing so I may have missed some of the required paperwork but I can assure you the jobs are still out there. The schools can update you on the required documents.
