Istiqdam office / Distance learning UK Saudi Cultural Attache

usamahbackup

Hi all,

I have been working in Saudi for over a year now with my Iqama. My employment visa was issued by Saudi embassy in the UK even though my degree was done online from Northumbria - this was a long process to get around.

Now that I am here I have tried to bring my spouse over on a family residency visa. I went to the Istiqdam office after booking an appointment on Absher and presented all of my documents which were required except for the stamped degree. They rejected my application because of this.

My understanding now is that UKSACB no longer attest / stamp degrees due to the Hague convention? Is this correct? So all that is required now is a apostle stamp from FCDO and counter signature from solicitor ?

UK cultural office will contact your uni for them to confirm the course and that it was done via present attendance as opposed to online. I'm not sure how you can get around it if they need UK Saudi cultural stamp.
