Hello,

According to new regulation there is such an update :

... an employee domiciled in the Brussels Capital Region must have resided in Belgium for at least 30 months without interruption and provide proof of 30 months' employment...

If you are domiciled in Brussels then you are eligible for that  otherwise if I were you I would call and ask to 02 204 13 99

Hello,

I am non EEA, I had student job, employment activities are typically covered by a student work permit 20 hours per week. When applying for an unlimited work authorization,  I am considering if the Belgian authorities may count working under student job (not fully), or require standard work permit - single permit only? do anyone know this rule?  many thanks

@maharaji1984 do you know this? thank you!

@Mai Rose

  If your work arose from  your specific situation :

See : http://www.ejustice.just.fgov.be/cgi_lo … e_name=wet Art 10

then i think your case could be counted as half period.

Thanks for your input.

Does this applies if you are domiciliated in Brussels but your employer is in the Flanders?

@gafarvictoir

As per info from Brussels capital region office what matter is where your residence is. In my case for example , because i live in LGG , despite my company registered in BRU , i am not eligible.

@maharaji1984

Thank you,  i contacted the BRU office and got all the information. Unfortunately, i am not eligible .

@gafarvictoir

In this case the period is extended to four years.
