CPAP machine for rent from Danang or Hoi An?

jtodter

I've just been advised that my Gov't-owned CPAP (Australia) can't be taken out of the country for contractual reasons.  Does anyone know if it's possible to hire one for a week in Danang or Hoi An?  I will be there from 22-29 November.  Thanks.

I've been here 6 years using CPAP daily and I have never heard of any place where a CPAP machine can be rented or leased.

Best option I've been able to find for people is a place in HCMC that specializes in CPAP supplies and will sell you a new unit.

The only other option I can imagine is to get on the Face.book groups for Đà Nẵng, Hội An and Huế to see if someone has a used unit for sale, possibly coming available when an expatriate left it behind or passed away while in Vietnam.

Alternatively you could go directly to one of the large hospitals that caters to the needs of foreigners here (Vinmec maybe) and see if they can help arrange something for you.

But I really do doubt that you will be able to rent something; probably purchase only.

Good luck

Cheers.  Too much hassle for one week.

Will the gov't even know you brought it here for a week?
