You'll get the most authoritative answer from a vehicle importer who's based here in Costa Rica. Give them the details (make, model, and VIN) and they can look up what the governmental import costs will be.

As always, when importing a vehicle or a container of household goods, always (always) use an import service based here in Costa Rica. There are important facts and connections that only they have.

Also, be aware that you can ship a vehicle two ways: "Drive on/drive off" ships the vehicle tied down on the deck; or you can ship the vehicle in a steel shipping container.
