I have 3 cats and a very good dog. We are dual citizens, Portuguese and American. We are expecting to leave the US in a year or so to live permanently in Portugal. We are trying to get an idea of rental cost and availability in or near Porto for our pets and the two of us. We would hate to leave our cats behind, but would re home them if necessary. Ideas?

Hi and Welcome.

Suggest one/both  of you visit and look at places and areas, find suitable accomodation, pay deposits, sign paperwork as only you know if you consider somewhere suitable, safe, within budget for you and all your pets.  There places on Idealista and OXL pt (and other sites)  you really need to know the area(s)  and view the property in person.
