Hello, wanting to know if I able to get an electric contract established in Santiago with my passport and lease agreement? Or is a cedula required?  Also is CEDEE or Edeeste the providers (I believe the latter).  Thank you:!

Your lease and passport work. I believe in Santiago it's EDENORTE

I just bought a condo in Punta Cana and was wondering the same thing. Where  would I go?  I hear you prepay. Is this right?

Thank you Planner.  I assume water the same?

I see it is the same or similiar process with water. Thanks

…It may be more convenient going to the local utility company’s website and check their faqs or services (@cync).

If by electric contract you mean electricity for your house or unit It was very easy for me. The previous owner took me to the company down the street and basically transferred his name to mine with the updated information such as payment method. I assume it should be easy for anyone. You must ask the previous owner or the company who sold you your apt or house for the contact info and ask them to connect you to the person in charge of your area.

That only works if previous tenant or owner didn't close the account
