Buying a house

gainkeeper

What is the tax or transfer paper that's needed when buying a house? Is it madula or something like that? Does the seller provide that or does your attorney take care of that? How do they prove they have a title to the home as opposed to only offering a bill of sale?

As the buyer, your attorney should be doing all the due diligence to make sure the title is clear, the deslinde shows the property is on the right land (we've seen people selling houses built on land they didn't own), that the taxes are current, etc. They should also take care of the transfer tax and obtaining a new title in your name.
