Receiving a replacement bank card by mail from my US bank

vezza302

Hi and happy holidays to everyone

My husband and I retired a couple of years ago and moved from the United States to the Dominican Republic.

We kept our US bank account since Social Security does not deposit into any banks out here.

I recently requested a replacement bank card to be mailed to the US courier address where I receive my mail. The bank does not seem to understand, saying that they are having trouble mailing the card to me.

Has anyone ever encountered this problem? Thank you,

According to GROK AI:

Many banks in the Dominican Republic accept U.S. Social Security payments through direct deposit. Popular banks include Banco Popular Dominicano, Banco BHD León, and Scotiabank.
