A question to all: did anyone experience such a long review of documents for a SP renewal?  In 2023, it was my first application for a SP and with all additional requests, altogether it took 2 (two) months: October 18, 2023 - December 21, 2023!

This year, it is already the first week of January, and my employer has not even heard about the admissibility - and this is still on the Region level!  I've heard the renewal is now treated identically to the first application.

Yes this year it is mess in Brussels.. in my case I got L card faster then renewal, at the moment my L card was approved my SP renewal even did not start to process the application and both I applied same time...

@ievgenfeldmann

Wow, interesting... I was also told about the mess in BRU which apparently had started in September 2024.

HI

congrats!

When did you apply for the L card, when was it approved

How did they inform you?

Did you check Mon Dossier?

Because I am waiting for the approvment

Thank you

ievgenfeldmann

@Mai Rose

Commune will send u an email , but u should keep asking them as they tend to delay. U will not see in Mon Dossier only after u activate  the card. Applied October 1 received December 8

Question, in my A card it states that the expiry date is 8/Feb/2025. At this moment I'm still waiting for the residence permit (annex 46). My question is, what happens if it reaches 8/Feb/2025 and there's still no decision for my residence permit?

Also, once I get my residence permit, then it's straightforward that I just go to my town hall to collect my new residence card?

ievgenfeldmann

@glassofsoda

U have to stop working or get annex

Brussels Region. First time application as a "metier en penurie", but already living in Belgium as a student and then on the orientation year visa.

Application date: 04/10

Dossier considered complete: 23/10

WP: 24/10

RP: still waiting

I called IBZ today to check on the status of my application and they just said that my file is still being processed and it could take up to 4 months. They said it could be quicker than the 4 months but they wouldn't give me an estimate... Anybody here received their RP already from WPs approved in October?

Question: will I be able to see the status of my SP when it's approved on the website? I could follow the status until the work permit but since then there has been no changes.

@julia.shew

Wow it takes so long!! Do they take into account the starting date of the job ? I need to start in February and my WP was approved in December

ruslan.galkanov

@Yasaman Hedayat

I did not know one could follow anything online.  Supposedly, it is only your employer who can do that.

@Unknown fan

I don't think so... The work contract that my employer submitted gave a start date of November 1, 2024.
