Weather now

I know it’s rainy season, so it will be raining. The thing is, this is the only time of year we could visit. We arrive in Jakarta on the 25th, then Yogyakarta, and finally Bali.

However, I’m now getting worried about the weather. It looks really bad on the forecast. I know it’s a bit subjective but how it is at the moment? Sometimes the weather shows up for rain all day where I live but Iban reality it is not always very bad! Is it torrential rain all day, or is it possible to get some dry phases? Any recommendation of things to do in the rain? Not malls.

Any advice from those on the ground would be great!

I live in Bandung which is in the mountains and therefore probably more susceptible to rain than the lower lying regions. It does not rain heavily everyday. It can be sunny on some days without rain, some light rain in the early afternoon or evenings, but rarely continuous heavy rain. I would just ignore the forecasts because in some places it might rain whereas in others it might be dry.

What would you normally do in the rain where you live? Here we go to malls, or eat out or stay at home. If you buy umbrellas you can go out sightseeing anywhere.
