That does look a very nice house, though as always the question is "how old are the photos?" If it's still in the condition as shown, I doubt anyone buying a doer-upper and renovating themselves could do it for the same money, especially as they are selling it furnished. Nice find!

I also saw the angry man whose house was stripped. Though it seems he has an attitude problem, I can understand how upset he must be.

I started off with a list of 26 properties that we liked, then studied the pics carefully looking at structure, road if there was one 😂 etc and have ended up with only two. We have booked viewings assuming they aren’t sold before. Will spend some time wandering around different areas too. Then at the end it will be decision time. If we don’t like it then Thailand will be the next place we will check out 😀

Thailand might well be a good choice - I don't think it's on Putin's radar, at least for now...

If Russia wasn’t so cold that was on my list 😃 Got quite a few Russian friends and know a couple who emigrated there two years ago.

I've found that giving a hostage to fortune is never a good idea - volunteering to become one whenever it might suit a criminal megalomaniac is certainly a novel idea! Plenty of others have lived to regret such actions...
