My Kids need to meet other Kids.....Anyone?

tonykeys2003

Hi

I've recently moved to HCMC from the UK and have 2 Daughters. One aged 14 yrs and the other is 7 yrs old.

Having once been a Primary School teacher, I am "home tutoring" my girls.

The biggest issue is the inability to mix with other children as they would do in a school in the UK.

I feel it is going to be a lonely place for them to grow up if they can't integrate with other children

Are there any families out there who have children of similar ages that we could get to know, to perhaps meet up for Coffee in Shopping Malls, or wherever we could get to know each other, especially the children?

If anyone feels that they would be interested in meeting up, then I'd be very happy to hear from you.

Kindest Regards

Tony, Katrina and Emily

Kids generally speaking find more in common with each other and quicker than adults.  I find kids here are eager to

Interact wth english speakers, and parents are very, very eager for those interactions.  Find some places for you and your kids to mingle with locals.  Maybe fly kites at a nearby park, find a local church, take some martial arts classes.  Your kids can pickup some of the local language along the way.  Tip: Don’t be shy! 🙂

Thanks for your reply Goofydad56.

I will take your advice on the PARK idea. Gonna buy a Kite tomorrow.😃

Hopefully we can bump into a few people with kids of my daughters age.

I raised 8 kids in the US. Learned  kids attract kids.  I am living in Tan Phu Dong Nai now.  The park here is full of kids and parents and kites everynight.  I meet new kids everyday that are anxious to speak  english.  Enjoy the kite flying and the somewhat cooler evening temps!
