Apartments with compounding-like facilities in Riyadh???

Is it possible to find apartments in Riyadh with compound-like facilities in Riyadh? Or maybe just an apartment with a pool or so??!!

Myself and my four colleagues live in a mini mini compound like area just behind Balsharaf super market off King Fahad road (close to the kingdom tower area). We have four apartments a small pool and roof top decks, it is very comfortable and private with high walls. Yes I guess it is our own mini compound.

I spent my first six months in Riyadh in an apartment hotel behind Starbucks in Olaya street. I was desperate to get some place better and my living allowance was not sufficient to get into a good compound. I asked a Saudi friend to find a apartment within walking distance of central riyadh(Olaya st)it was not easy but he eventually found our current place.

So a mini apartment in centeral riyadh can be found if you persist.

Do u think an estate agent would be able to help?

If I may ask, what price range would be looking at for this type of apartment?

We paid SR75K for the year for each apartment, four units in total. Each apartment is very large and can comformately accomodate two persons.

I should further explain that the apartments are occupied by two company persons combining our individual allowances,it a win win in our particular case.

You will find a nice 2/3 bedroom apartment for 40K (easily). But it will be outside of a compound. For recreational facilities you can always join a gym.

Please do re-examine the housing allowance 40K looks very low allowance. (its normal for housing allowance to be 3 x basic salary)
