theres a line between satisfaction and the need. Most of the people keep it otherwise they will not earn for the living.
...i think the worst one is the one that you hate but must do in order to live...
the worst Job would be the one where you're responsible for laying people off...
went through the experience, and there's no way it would be pleasant unless you have something else better for them, but if they're that qualified why lay'em off...
so yeah...
Nothing beats being a toilet paper roll i guess.
those guards at Buckingham Palace (uk) lool poor guys
Any job where you stare at the clock, waiting.

I guess that's true.. However aren't most jobs routines nowadays?
everyone has his role in this life by doing his job even he feels that is not a good job, but without this job even it is not good in his eyes there is something will go wrong, it is the cycle of life , so there is no worst job

That made me smile frankly ^_^
Your worst job is when you have completely no idea why you are doing it.
Any job you work at and only make enough money to struggle by and if you make it until retirement then there is no retirement plan for you so you have to keep going.

I don't think that kind of retirement exists in America anymore.
Hi Haley:
I have a great Retirement and am having the time of my life but that kind of Retirement is slowly fadeing away I just heard a few days ago the Company I retired from is not offering a retirement plan to People that go to work for them from this year on so a good Retirement might be getting hard to come By.You better plan ahead.

whateaver you do because you must and not because you want or love it!!! some people cannot choice....
Social Security will be up to 80 by the time I'm old enough. I can't trust any savings plans after all the Enron & WorldCom problems. I don't know anyone my age who has any plans to stay where they are for the next 50 years and I doubt there's any American company that would keep someone around for 50 years anyway. I better have money before I'm old or children to take care of me. There's no other options for my generation.
Best to have a savings plan/ superannuation fund set up as soon as you start work and diligently pay money into this on a regular basis
Forget about your children looking after you. They will have enough worries of their own without the added burden.
If you don't love what you are doing and you're not happy anymore then that's a WORST JOB!!!
Having to work with arrogant people who think they know it all but know nothing. The best job? Running a dog hotel!
thank you expats for your thoughts, i just want to share something, i was having lunch at mcdonalds and behind me was a US couple, the wife was not actually happy of the food, i think she wanted something and that the husband have forgotten it, the wife goes blah blah blah in a funny way. So the husband stood up to go back to the counter uttering claim which i clearly heard..."this is one of my worst jobs"...
I would actually agree with all of you ...
The worst job can be anything you do in life and you are not happy doing it, or you do it because there is no other options.
call center agents and those who works in the airports and try to manage planes' take of and landing, really annoying and difficult
It's the one you don't want to do.
When you like your job is not work at all.
I was watching a documentary once and they described this job as one of the worst:
It is the process of massaging an elepant's prostate for health reason. You would have to wear a glove that goes up to your shoulder's length.
TERRIBLE JOB~!

The worst job would be working for someone you abhor
The worse job i ever experience in my house is having a maintenance service. They work dirty and long processing and too expensive. Thanks to my friend Nikki she solve my problem regarding the maintenance. She refer a good servicing company called DUBTECH.Im not endorsing it but thanking for them. You can search them in dubtech-solutions.com
Working in a chocolate factory and being allergic to chocolate lol
The worst job in my opinion, is working in a toyshop, specially when i worked in Smyths Toys in Maylor Street in Ireland and after 8years in the company i was still employed in the same position, without being promoted even ONCE. After that Lidl with my Brother in Law as my boss, definitely not my best time.... After that any job is a pleasant journey :-)
It doesn't matter what ever you do or the type of your work ..what really matters and would color all your days is mostly the atmosphere and the work environment, your colleagues, clients personalized who you are supposed to deal with..
Didn't you hear about poisoning work spaces.. that even you would pay just to leave such places.. it is matter of fact if you feel relaxed, well payed according to the effort you do, plus you receive complements and nice talk when you do good, you may accept to work in another city and travel up to 6 hours daily and you enter your work place smiling if you are happy where you are. However if your jobs pays everything and at least you lack peace of mind and the feeling of stability. sure you wouldn't stay in such job for long time..
The worst place ever would be where you work very hard and you are not awarded either financially or emotionally (cause payment is not only money it may be a good ward or thank you smile).. the worst job would be the one you can't go with the people around you as if you are dealing with aliens beside if you believe that your boss is a human version of Godzilla, and his last name is human destroyer.. and if work is not going with your own beliefs then for sure you would be in real hell every morning day and at night you would afraid to wake up the fallowing day so you would face that hustle and you would spend night crying if you are women or may be drinking if you man while you are looking for another job that never come..
Don't kill yourself by working in a place you are not feeling pace and comfort to be there every day. if you feel so.. just open the door and never look behind..lol you would be a winner..
HaileyinHongKong wrote:Any job where you stare at the clock, waiting.
That mean this is very boring job and you are not working at all.
you are just killing yourself with every clock tick..
Hericles wrote:The worst job would be working for someone you abhor
I would add also when you had to work under the supervison of a person you don't respect who is unqualified and just get his position cause his relations and don't know any thing about how business goes and when a person corrects his bright ideas of using nuclear bomb to get rid of flies that is found in his summer lounge.. he just fired him..

really hilarious but 100% true and this job is the one may be impossible to run away from as it would be keep fallowing you for a resown or another:) may be that is why i still single

I disagree, my job is completely different everyday, there are mundane and boring tasks which need to be done, but this is only a tiny part of the big picture.
Maybe I am lucky because I love my job.
