Hi Yelrish,

It's great that I found you here. I've just booked a trip to Manila in March 2012 for around one week. Do you have any advice or useful tips when we visit there?

Thank you in advance! :)

Thank you very much for your warm welcome! @sandyzhong1328.. Philippines is composed of 7,107 island but if you want to experienced the island life. I would like to recommend Boracay though it's a tourist place but it's one of the best beaches in the world. I've been there 3 times and I never get tired to enjoy the beautiful island. :). YOu can also try Palawan (CORON or EL NIdo) it's more secluded and quite though it has no nightlife than Boracay. But the beauty of the place is so beautiful. You will enjoy doing the island hopping, visiting some lagoons, snorkeling and many more. That place also was used before by the FRENCH SURVIVOR for their games. Let me know if you need more help.:) Have a good day!

I would like a guide for the Phillipines.
I'm planning to meet an old school buddy there next month in Manila for a few days.  Figured I would look around after he goes back to work.

What are good places to visit within an easy drive of Manila?
Thanks.

Hi! you can go around Manila and see some of the historical places like Intramuros, Luneta and fort Santiago. This is a good place for you to discover the history of Manila. You can also visit Manila Ocean Park Located at the back of Luneta Grandstand. SM Mall of ASia one of the biggest Mall in asia. If you love to go for chinese food tripping, why not visit the china town in Binondo. It's one of the old china town in the world and many more.

Do visit Tagaytay for only 2 hour drive from Manila if you want something nature tripping and you can see there little Taal volcano.

Hope it helps and just let me know if you need more advise. I will be happy to help you out. Merry Christmas in advance:)

Yes the local cuisine is wonderful here. There are many yummy filipino dishes that you would like to enjoy.Actually if you really wanted to try all the food here in Philippines, you will be amazed cause in every places they have their own delicacies. One popular dish here is  Chicken or Pork Adobo so please don't miss it!:). If you love seafoods, there is one popular seafood location here in Manila. It's located close to SM Mall of ASia just look for Macapagal Seaside. You will see a lot of restaurants which serve yummy dishes or if you want to buy a raw seafood they can also cook it for you. The wet Market is located also there so you don't need to worry.  The fee for cooking  is quite cheap:)

With regards for the weather in February,  I can assure that it
would be a really nice sunny weather that you would truly enjoy. :)
