Hi there,

My fiance and I are looking for someone to conduct our marriage ceremony in Abu Dhabi. She is Muslim and I am Christian so our legal marriage will take place at the British Embassy as we are both British however we need to find someone willing to conduct a non-legal ceremony in front of our friends and family...

Any one else had a similar experience and can pass on details of who conducted their ceremony?

Kind regards

Nick and Sarah

When are you trying to get married?  I have a friend here that has performed ceremonies in the US.

Hello Expat.com!!!
How are you???  I am a new member.  I will be coming to UAE by the end of March2012 and will be staying there for 2 yrs (work contract).

I am a filipina and i have a boyfriend who is an american citizen who is also planning to go there in UAE by June 2012.  We talked of getting married there (maybe right away) bcoz being in a middles east country we have to be married or related for us to be able to live together legally.

I would appreciate it very much if you can give me information regarding these matters.   One thing more, what type of visa would be appropriate for my boyfriend to have?  A travel or tourist or visit visa?  And what will be the consequences if he acquired one of these visas (to our getting married)?

Thank you so much Expat.
