Hello there;

I have been moved into a studio until my apartment is ready. The studio is furnished and some items i.e. tv, cooking snd eating utensils, sheets, pillows and blanket.  Thats about it.  I've been told the regular apartments don't have anything but the furniture so I am working on getting the stuff I need for the apartment so when I get moved in I won't be too uncomfortable.

Riyadh is a lot like a large city in the U.S. (New York comes to mind) except just a little more sand..LOL. Getting around is not too difficult as long as you can find a taxi driver or someone who speaks enough english to help you. A lot of signs are in Arabic and English so not having any problems figuring out where I am.  Just a lot of traffic to deal with.

Sorry I haven't posted sooner. Have you arrived in Riyadh yet?  Which compound did you end up in?  Things here have been interesting. Getting familiar with the customs and other things that are a little different. Separation from the family is the big thing right now. Fortunately we keep in touch through Skype but I'll be much happier when they get here. Let me know how yur doing.

Hey another Texan here! I know your post is old and was just seeing if your still in KSA. I have accepted a job as well through Aplha Star (Texas Takeover from what I hear.) I am coming on Jan 4th. 23 year Paramedic with 14yrs in Houston and the rest has been in HEMS in Oklahoma and Colorado. If your still there I could use any advice you have. I am doing the rotational shifts 60/30.
