Hi,

I've just arrived in Manila from the UK and I'll be here for 18 months.  Any advice anyone can give about settling, moving, picking where to live, where to meet other expats would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

ale

Hi Ale,

Well, I'm coming up to my one month anniversairy of being here this weekend! Impressions so far...

People here are lovely, you couldn't ask for a more welcoming bunch.  Atmosphere is a little chaoticif you're in the city, mostly due to the traffic.  I don't know if you're planning on driving here but you need to be a little aggressive to survive!

Weather's going to get hotter in March I'm told, so that's something to bear in mind.. but offices (well, mine at least) can be freezing.

Where are you coming from? How long are you going to be here for?
