Hi .. I am Ahmed from Egypt. I want to invite you to arrange a one day journey in Riyadh to be, for example in March 30th (Friday).

First, we will rent a bus for about 25-30 persons. The journey will start at 8.30 am by visiting 4-5 monumental places in Riyadh - carefully chosen- then from 3-4.30 pm we will have lunch in Kentucky. At 4.30 we will move to Salama Picnic area (wonderful) to listen to some music, songs, and exchange expat experiences and stories. At 7.30 pm we will go to a restaurant in which we will have our dinner and say goodbye to each other.

Everybody will pay SAR 100 for the bus. extra payment will be in a box for juices and meals. If it sounds ok, let me know to arrange together.

Hey Ahmed hope you get some buddies to join you, think you'll probably find this is a little ambitious though. From other posts the guys here don't seem to be making much effort and I don't know how keen single women will be on this either. Anyways, good luck with it :top:

Yehhhhhhhhh. It will be great if so. try to come with us you will sure like it.

I'm not all that keen on it myself to be honest, it's a long sweaty day to be sitting in a bus with a bunch of strangers who you may/may not get on with. I rather prefer shorter first time meetings, I'm not a great fan of crowds and people being in my personal space for too long :unsure perhaps another time. Always happy to meet people for meals or evening out or something x

P.S I would advise you not renting a bus on any web replies, if people do want to go wait till you get cash in your hand - althouh this is als another reason for people not replying, giving some random guy 100riyals is not on the top of my list, that would be much better going towards a new pair of shoes :P

 I thought I'm the only one of this kind. I'd prefer to drive 2/3 people in my SUV to all potential monumental places. And I do it A LOT!

Well said @LW, If you get confirmations from 10 people, only 2/3 will drop in.

I don't know how comfortable people would be sharing a bus with strangers for one complete day when 1. They already own a vehicle 2. Can share a vehicle with 2 or 3 other individuals they feel safe/comfortable with. And most importantly forget about single  ladies getting on your bus. Don't forget you're in Riyadh my friend.

What i would suggest is to plan a day and have folks use their own means of transportation. This way i believe you will have a better turnout and no one will be bounded to stay wih the group ifthey figure they don't want to.

Hi all,

It is ok .. I see that most of our friends doesn't like the idea. No problem, let's just gather in any place you like just to be together and get out of this boredom.
