moving to the Philippines

plan on retireing in Nov 2012 and moving to the CDO in the Philippines. the lady i plan on marrying has been separated from her filipina husband for 4 years and they had 1 daughter together but he has nothing to do with her, he has children with another women he is living with now in the Philippines  i have read it is very difficult to get an annulment. question is there any good and honest lawyers in Cagayan De Oro and approximate  time limit and  cost for the annulment.  thank you.  Lawrence

Hi Lawrence,

Annulment, as in any other country usually takes time.  You don't need a lawyer for that though.  You just need to go to the church and consult with a priest or even better the priest who officiated her wedding. The priest and church officials are the source of the right advice on the procedures for annulment.
