Do you speak Spanish? You'll prob need it with being a mechanic!
There's usually free English magazines in the Irish bars with classifieds in them. The best of is Metropoliton, you can check it out online before you get here. Best of luck with it

Not sure how much luck you'll have finding a job as a mechanic in BCN, especially because of the language. You might have more luck in one of the towns along the coast where there is more of an established expat community. Even if you do speak Spanish well some places can be funny as they primarily speak Catalan. I know our mechanic will only speak to customers in Catalan even though I'm speaking to him in Spanish....I have to take my girlfriend along to translate.
