Angels were shocked to see her heart still beating..
Angel asked " how come your heart is beating"..
Girl replied " I am dead but my lover still lives in my heart"

@Dave I thought it was supposed to be a Star Trek version of the Village People!
Well, it's a Charlie's Angel pose in the Star Trek costumes from the Big Bang Theory's latest episode.

Talking about English spelling and pronunciation, I'd like to share a poem by G. Nolst Trenite, a.k.a. Charivarius (1870-1946) called "The Chaos"
"Dearest creature in creation
Studying English pronunciation,
I will teach you in my verse
Sounds like corpse, corps, horse and worse
I will keep you, Susy, busy,
Make your head with heat grow dizzy.
Tear in eye your dress you'll tear,
So shall I! Oh, hear my prayer,
Pray, console your loving poet,
Make my coat look new, dear, sew it!
Just compare heart, beard and heard,
Dies and diet, lord and word,
Sword and sward, retain and Britain.
(Mind the latter, how it's written).
Made has not the sound of bade,
Say said, pay-paid, laid, but plaid.
Now I surely will not plague you
With such words as vague and ague,
But be careful how you speak,
Say break, steak, but bleak and streak.
Previous, precious, fuchsia, via,
Pipe, snipe, recipe and choir,
Cloven, oven, how and low,
Script, receipt, shoe, poem, toe.
Hear me say, devoid of trickery:
Daughter, laughter and Terpsichore,
Typhoid, measles, topsails, aisles.
Exiles, similes, reviles.
Wholly, holly, signal, signing.
Thames, examining, combining
Scholar, vicar, and cigar,
Solar, mica, war, and far.
From "desire": desirable--admirable from "admire."
Lumber, plumber, bier, but brier.
Chatham, brougham, renown, but known.
Knowledge, done, but gone and tone,
One, anemone. Balmoral.
Kitchen, lichen, laundry, laurel,
Gertrude, German, wind, and mind.
Scene, Melpomene, mankind,
Tortoise, turquoise, chamois-leather,
Reading, reading, heathen, heather.
This phonetic labyrinth
Gives moss, gross, brook, brooch, ninth, plinth.
Billet does not end like ballet;
Bouquet, wallet, mallet, chalet;
Blood and flood are not like food,
Nor is mould like should and would.
Banquet is not nearly parquet,
Which is said to rime with "darky."
Viscous, Viscount, load, and broad.
Toward, to forward, to reward.
And your pronunciation's O.K.,
When you say correctly: croquet.
Rounded, wounded, grieve, and sieve,
Friend and fiend, alive, and live,
Liberty, library, heave, and heaven,
Rachel, ache, moustache, eleven,
We say hallowed, but allowed,
People, leopard, towed, but vowed.
Mark the difference, moreover,
Between mover, plover, Dover,
Leeches, breeches, wise, precise,
Chalice, but police, and lice.
Camel, constable, unstable,
Principle, disciple, label,
Petal, penal, and canal,
Wait, surmise, plait, promise, pal.
Suit, suite, ruin, circuit, conduit,
Rime with "shirk it" and "beyond it."
But it is not hard to tell,
Why it's pall, mall, but Pall Mall.
Muscle, muscular, gaol, iron,
Timber, climber, bullion, lion,
Worm and storm, chaise, chaos, and chair,
Senator, spectator, mayor,
Ivy, privy, famous, clamour
And enamour rime with hammer.
Pussy, hussy, and possess,
Desert, but dessert, address.
Golf, wolf, countenance, lieutenants.
Hoist, in lieu of flags, left pennants.
River, rival, tomb, bomb, comb,
Doll and roll and some and home.
Stranger does not rime with anger.
Neither does devour with clangour.
Soul, but foul and gaunt but aunt.
Font, front, won't, want, grand, and grant.
Shoes, goes, does. Now first say: finger.
And then: singer, ginger, linger,
Real, zeal, mauve, gauze, and gauge,
Marriage, foliage, mirage, age.
Query does not rime with very,
Nor does fury sound like bury.
Dost, lost, post; and doth, cloth, loth;
Job, Job; blossom, bosom, oath.
Though the difference seems little,
We say actual, but victual.
Seat, sweat; chaste, caste.; Leigh, eight, height;
Put, nut; granite, and unite.
Reefer does not rime with deafer,
Feoffer does, and zephyr, heifer.
Dull, bull, Geoffrey, George, ate, late,
Hint, pint, Senate, but sedate.
Scenic, Arabic, Pacific,
Science, conscience, scientific,
Tour, but our and succour, four,
Gas, alas, and Arkansas.
Sea, idea, guinea, area,
Psalm, Maria, but malaria,
Youth, south, southern, cleanse and clean,
Doctrine, turpentine, marine.
Compare alien with Italian,
Dandelion with battalion.
Sally with ally, yea, ye,
Eye, I, ay, aye, whey, key, quay.
Say aver, but ever, fever.
Neither, leisure, skein, receiver.
Never guess--it is not safe:
We say calves, valves, half, but Ralph.
Heron, granary, canary,
Crevice and device, and eyrie,
Face but preface, but efface,
Phlegm, phlegmatic, ass, glass, bass.
Large, but target, gin, give, verging,
Ought, out, joust, and scour, but scourging,
Ear but earn, and wear and bear
Do not rime with here, but ere.
Seven is right, but so is even,
Hyphen, roughen, nephew, Stephen,
Monkey, donkey, clerk, and jerk,
Asp, grasp, wasp, and cork and work.
Pronunciation--think of psyche--!
Is a paling, stout and spikey,
Won't it make you lose your wits,
Writing "groats" and saying "grits"?
It's a dark abyss or tunnel,
Strewn with stones, like rowlock, gunwale,
Islington and Isle of Wight,
Housewife, verdict, and indict!
Don't you think so, reader, rather,
Saying lather, bather, father?
Finally: which rimes with "enough"
Though, through, plough, cough, hough, or tough?
Hiccough has the sound of "cup."
My advice is--give it up!"

I don't really understand that why Saudi Government don't consider building a Mini Disney Land here in KSA
just imagine... it would be amazing... isnt it ???
no doubt about that!! they have the resources maybe it never comes to their minds. do we have good water parks here? something like wild wadi or aquaventure?
From time to time you'll read in the Saudi newspapers that the government wants to encourage tourism here to create jobs for the nationals.
It's a good idea, the jobs part; the part that hasn't been thoroughly thought through, however, is why in God's name anybody would come here for a holiday.
Maybe your Disneyland idea isn't a bad one. I suggest you email the King immediately!

Well no, but they have to have something to offer if they want people to come here on holiday, don't you think?
guys you make me feel like we are in gontanamo !! not in KSA , well you came here and you knew there will be advantage and disadvantage !! you cant eat all the pie without being a adiabatic !!

Kingdom Company has initiated a huge project on Dammam-Riyadh Highway similar to Disneyland. It will be sort of entertainment city. You can notice the sign boards on the Highway while you are heading to Dammam.
You can read this article too about a new project on the Ring Road:

Calm down, habibi! I've read in the Arab News/Saudi Gazette that Saudia wants to become a tourist destination. TOURIST. Those of us who have come here to WORK have accepted all the restrictions and obey the laws.
BUT if the Saudi government wants foreign TOURISTS--in other words people who travel to foreign destinations for holidays--they'll have to have something fun/worthwhile to offer these tourists. This is what we're talking about! And we know there will never be a Disneyland here--it's just a kind of fun mental exercise.
So let me ask you: if YOU were put in charge of attracting foreign tourists to Saudi Arabia for holiday, what would YOU do?
Personally, I think Jordan is on the right track. They make use of their beautiful deserts. Many Beduoins operate desert camps where tourists can sleep in tents, eat meals cooked outdoors, explore the desert, ride camels, learn about an ancient way of life
Well plenty , but im not when im in charge i will make sure to keep every one safe - happy - and have a good kind of life . that's the plan

Come on! Don't be a party pooper. What is your plan for the TOURISTS ?!?

Interesting but did you notice something? The original ate of the article is Tuesday 2 January 2001!! Then, to the right of that date, it says: Last Update 7 July 2012 1:28 pm.
Has anybody seen any sign of this project or is it just blah-blah for the last 12 years?
Wow that sounds very cool! we are not whinning. just trying to make living more interesting over here. Nobody denies that saudi arabia has alot of perks itself.
lol you are creating my interest of visiting Jordan maybe time soon!
hassaanpervez wrote:lol you are creating my interest of visiting Jordan maybe time soon!
I LOVED Jordan!! Small country but SO much to do. Fly into Amman.. drive north to Jarash (most extensive Roman ruins in the Middle East); then south again to the Dead Sea (incredible--you can't sink!); visit the Jordan River (important place for Christians); go to Wadi Rum (incredible desert where Lawrence of Arabia was filmed); then down to Wadi Musi, to the most important thing: Petra! Then farther south, Aqaba, a seaside city for scuba, etc.
The people are very friendly, prices are reasonable, food is good. I loved it!
You mean to say that the trip should not be less than a week? I was actually thinking of driving from Khobar for the weekend. Is that a fine idea?
and this has created more interest!! Jordan for sure u be my trip advisor! lol
is the dead sea clean and stuff?
hassaanpervez wrote:is the dead sea clean and stuff?
The dead sea is BEAUTIFUL! It's just called 'dead' because the salinity (salt) is so high nothing can live in it. But it's a beautiful sea surrounded by beautiful mountains.
hassaanpervez wrote:You mean to say that the trip should not be less than a week? I was actually thinking of driving from Khobar for the weekend. Is that a fine idea?
Khobar to Jordan would be a helluva trip. Closest city over the border is Aqaba; to give you an idea, the distance between Aqaba and Riyadh is 1277.54 kilometers.
from khobar I am assuming it shoud not be more than 450-500 kms. That will be a 4-5 hour drive. is Aqaba must be souuth of Jordan?? does it have enough attractions? lol I think im already too excited
