I will be looking to join an amateur footie team when I get out there to make some friends and get back into the game after a long lay off. I am moving to Wellington, can anyone recommend some?

Also a long shot maybe, but is there an Everton supporters club or anything out there?!

Hi

I just replied to one of your other posts and suggested sports teams if you play and then just saw this one so obviously you do.

We usually call it soccer (footie in can also mean rugby so just depends on the context)

Some of my mates played in this legaue - its indoor soccer. They usually have teams but if you contact the league they might be able to put you on the list for subsitutes. If the team doesnt have enough people then they cant play so they are always looking for ringers.
