Hey all,
first of all im getting addicted to these forums..anyways...

someone (visa agent)told me that for family visa i need to pay him  money because my sponsor is a kafeel and not a company and he will process my visa without any hassle.

kindly help me out on this..as he said whatever your profession (im computer technician) is if your sponsor is a person you will not get family visa...

Zeesham

Again a new story, to eat more....

first of all for your family , u r the sponsor no one else,

they will check for attested degree and match with your iqama profession. that's it,

malik.awan

yes i know im the sponsor for my family but the thing is MOFA does not allow people to invite their families here which are on individual sponsored visa rather than Company provided visa...my question still remains the same....which professions do they allow visa if on individual sponsored visa(azad visa)

TheLegendLeads

Not all 'individual sponsored visa' are 'azad visas'. But all 'azad visas' are surely 'individually sponsored' :)

People who are on individual sponsorships (shakhsi kafala) do get family visas if the letter from sponsor shows sufficiently strong package. (We hope shakhsi kafala thing will go soon but that's beside the point.)

About professions, the eligible professions are not enlisted anywhere (at least I have never seen). The best perception to keep in mind is: Family visas are intented for white collar job holders. Laborers, Technicians and similars are ineligible. MOFA used to a bit lenient; but not anymore.

thanks for the prompt reply..but its wide spread information that only laborers are not allowed to bring family here...kindly confirm about the technician category as well...i know a guy on technician visa with family and he said theres not a problem in getting family visas on such category...my profession is computer technician.

There used to be soem good times. The current trend is that they reject right away.

Sir,

You will get family visa even with a Shakhsi kafeel status if it is not changed recently. The base is the profession in which profession the visa was stamped.

Mubarmej (Programmer), Muhaseb (Accountant), Anaylsts, Marketing Specialist, Mandoob Mubeyath, Technicians (only Fanni hassib aali, fanni anbniya and Siyanee elakrooni), Rassam, mudaris, mudaggiq etc. are allowed for family visa.

Regards,

Rafimayoora.

DrHassanMalik

Technicians are allowed to bring family. But the only small obstacle is if your profession was recently changed in the feb deadline open profession change, then the decision for such guys is still pending. those who had technician visa from beginning can bring as one of my fellow technician in my hospital (Egyptian) got family visa and another one who recently changed iqama profession was said to wait until new law comes

jazakAllah khair "DrHassanMalik" & "rafimayoora" i got my answer...and yes i came as "funni hasib ila" so that means im eligible enough to file a visa....

1 more issue i have is my name on iqama in english is correct but the arabic name is different...as i have translated my degrees and marriage certificate in arabic so it doesnt matches my name on iqama...will it be an issue?

DrHassanMalik

bro frankly speaking i have the same problem for about 6 years now. My manddob got links in jawazaat. He just went and got it corrected in computer of jawazaat some how and he says next time when you will get iqama renewal, you will get corect name on it automaticaly. he also showed me an arabic written tabulated printout with changed name but ironically even after correction he had put wrong spells yet again so eventually i totally got fed up and stopped following it any more..

Visit visas are not convertible to iqamas unless you play a trump card: 'A letter from royals'. Arduous, isn't it?
