Money or Love?

Love is very difficult to sustain for many - if one travels to a variety of different geographical locations for work.

Long distance love - can seldom be sustainable under such a lifestyle. Especially over a long term duration and this is a fact for many nowadays.

I do agree that a lot of women focus on money more than love i am a 65 year old single man and i have seen this many times.

So, feelings and emotions are much more important than materialistc things in life. and thats what makes us human.

Hold the phone.  Are you saying animals are more materialistic than humans?

We humans are materialistic animals....

And Madonna is the Material Girl.

Well make that Material older middle aged woman. ;)

I think in some instances - it's materialism that dictates in life.
At least it seems so from a feminist standpoint.

Of course if one had a choice love would come first and foremost and money would take a back seat every time.

Money takes you only till the grave,,,but,,

Love takes you beyond to entity,,,till,,

It lingers on in the memory forever,,with Love.

Love All,All Be Blessed

so feminists allow materialism to dictate life more than non-feminists?

Something is very wrong there.

Emmm yes! Just to clarify then  I was speaking from a gender specific NOT Feminist point of view - to be more precise.

Of course I cannot speak for men - as I wouldn't know being FEMALE. ...

So you meant feminine instead of feminist?

to be fair, we all have to be a little materialistic. Otherwise we'd be naked, starving, and without shelter. I assume we're talking about what happens once the basics are covered though.

Yes unfortunately this is true 99%  (if not 100%)

Let me put it this way: money can't buy you happiness, and love is about two people who want to make it work. If you wanna cry in your ferrari than on your bike, then it's your choice.

If you want to spend the rest of your life with someone that you love in a ferrari or on a bike, then this thing about materialism will come around. It's about choosing the right partner who will take you for better and for worst.

If the only options are crying in a Ferrari or on a bike, I think I'd choose the Ferrari.

Though a bike is a lot easier to park.

If we could have a ferrari that way, then it would've been so much easier hailey :), but not the crying part.

I CHOOSE love love and loove

Love of money is the root of all evil. this is in the Bible.
on the other hand, if you don't have money, love fades very soon.
So, the best is making money with the one you love!!!
HAHAHA

money or love?to be honest, difficult to choose one because they are a big a perfect match in life, completely!

I think this is a very personal answer though it may seem practical to some.  For me, I Choose Love.

Little to Offer

I have little to offer, not wealth, gold, or jewels,
But what I possess is all yours;
A heart that is true, a love without strings,
A life filled with promise galore.

I hope that is enough, I know love is strong,
As we face all the onslaughts as one,
For our truth to each other, our love bonded by life,
Brings us out into the bright shining sun.

Stay by my side my dear one, we've loved to much to ignore,
We've laughed and we've cried as a team;
Love me forever as you know I love you,
And we'll continue on living our dream.

Life changes us, our priorities shift,
And obstacles are thrown in our way;
But one thing I know, if we trust in our love,
We will last as a team, come what may.

So tell me your heart dear, tell me yours dreams,
Let no secrets between us take hold,
For I love you more than any man could,
And your happiness makes mine twofold.

Each breath that I take for the rest of my life,
Will be devoted to you and our vows to be one;
For you only dear, own my heart and my soul,
From this moment on till I've seen my last sun.

Not at all....  At least for me.
Love can make me happy.
Money, unfortunately, if available in plenty, can only make me addicted to useless shopping.

Then, frankly speaking, I find having limited money quite fun.... and so that I have no money to the point of starving - that never happened to me.

For me, love does not fade from the lack of money. It motivates me to earn more money. Somewhere somehow. Achievement is fun, is it not?

From the other side, a lot of free money without love, makes me frustrated. No purpose in life.

Coupled with love - it's better, but still quite stupid (leads to reckless spending, usually)

It was a discussion about love or money so I figured I'd add a little flair to the conversation.

agree...:)

I see you have it all covered.

James:)

Well, that all depends on the living standard too. No offence. But, some countries have been going through unequal percentage of rich and poor. For example, 70% of Myanmar citizens are in poverty while those in the remaining percentage are pretty well-off. That will only result in the majority marrying solely due to desire for wealth. However, those in developed and rich nations will put Love as first priority to Money. This is only my opinion. I agree with others here that there can be exceptions.

50%/50% :D

That is a committed answer.

I think both are important.

a woman can fall in love with a poor guy ,but to be a loyal it's really not easy.life is full of temptaition and this love could turn to hate if the family is not trying to fix thier fianacial conditions.
family problems are everywhere ,but you can find more obsticals with poor families even if the couple are loving each other the childeren might hate the way of thier living and might hate each other, and hate thier parents and blame them for the bad situation they are living in.

life is completely different than before . living is so expensive these days and u need to pay for everyhing around you. you might pay for the air you're  breathing in.

Rich families don't have problems?

In reallity LOve ,there is no comparison but practically these days money has taken over
But to me still LOVe is priceless

Of course rich families don't have problems. HongKong Haily you're going to have to do better. Lots of rich ones in Hong Kong, remember no problems. Pretty doggone sweet.

Not that you're looking to get married, or even talk to a dude... but if you were, just saying....

Rich families have no problems..That is a broad naive statement.

I have known millionaire families and believe me they have problems too. It is just that their problems are kept behind closed doors.

They can use their money to fix problems whereas poorer families can not.

I do prefer to be with someone that I love then we will work things out together and earn some money. It's a lot better that picking someone because of his money.

I suspect money is main reason why I see a lot young Asian women marrying Westerners.Very beneficial for both side.

Money every time....love is great when you are 21 and view the cruel hard world through rose tinted spectacles...when financial hardship comes along love is the first thing to fall by the wayside...love doesn't pay the bills...you can't eat love...

hey you
It is practical apprach

Really very much sensible analysis

But money is for the body and love is for the soul

Both has important rold

Thanks

yes u r right. i think it is hapen almost every where

They do but i could be less or more if they are stupid and never appreciate the blessing they have.
