Conflicting views on Living in Amman

reslanw

Hello

I recently received a job offer for a well reputed company in Amman
Am currently living in Riyadh and I know it's unfair to compare
The offered total package is 2850 JOD
I've been asking around a lot about the cost of a decent mid-level life in Amman, and people just throw numbers right and left at you
One would say 500JD, another would say 3000JD

Can I please get a better perspective from an expat in Amman?

Appreciate your help

Hey Reslan, with your budget of almost 3000 JD you can live as a king. We live currently, as a couple on a budget of 10% and we still survive, although I'm sure that it's gonna be much easier on you ;)

Depending on the area you wanna rent in, you could find a nice 2 bedroom apartment for 300JD. Internet and electricity and water for about 60JD. So you have plenty of money left to spend how you want it.

Hi reslanw.
Believe me, 2800 jd is more than enough, renting a good  home should not cost you more than 200 jd if you are alone.
you will not need to spend over 500 jd a month.
