lalarukh wrote:i went to MOFA today for the submission of green paper. the guy at the counter was so RUDE and he wrote on my application to come after 1 week. i told him situation tht i might not have one week and i need help and support from my mother. rudely said to my hubby rnt there any hospitals in this country leave or i will call the police.
my hubby will take his PRO on sunday now.
i wanted to ask is it the normal procedure? do they take 1 week for the acceptance or this is just now due to hajj.
In Hajj times these guys are too strict they don't give visa don't renew as there are seriosu number of illegal attempts in doing the Hajj which affects the quality.
For your case, they should understand and they will provied you get some local to go along with you guys and persuade the guy. thats the only option.
hope you get it
i submitted the application on 9 of September, until yesterday the msg was showing on the MOFA sit that application received with this date.
today its showing this i have translated too but i dont understand
12/09/2012
can somebody plz explain.
It means your application has on this date (as mentioned) come under process (or consideration).
but its already approved from Istiqdam what r they considering now.
first they wasted 1 week just for the acceptance of the application.
now after 3 days they are considering it... i dont know how many more day they will take now this is soooo frustrating.
I feel your pain, considering i'll be going to the wretched istiqdam soon as well.
Though i have a feeling you will eventually get yours approved now otherwise a rejection would have been given by now. Once they've done bothering you to whatever extent they think is possible they will probably issue you the visa.
haha... yeah i know tht eventually i will get it but after a week i wont be needing it. baby is coming any day now and it takes time from pakistan as well. tickets are now 1 lac plus due to hajj. so this is going no where. when they were rejecting the application they were responding same day within hrs.
best of luck to u for ur process.
lalarukh wrote:AlhmdulilAllah just got the visa finally thank u all.
Congrats!! Things will hopefully work out for you and the baby Inshallah.
I've finally got my academic certificates attested. I got the permanent family visa form today from isteqdam but now i have run in to another quandary ... its asking for my entry visa no.? I do not know what mine might be. I came to KSA in 96 and have since been on my fathers sponsorship after which i transfered now to a saudi kafeel since i've come of age. I didnt even have an independent passport in 96 i think .. it was my mom's. Now i dont have access to that old passport on which the entry visa number might have been stamped or written or whatever these guys were using back then.
So how do i get around this ****ed up mess? Are there any work arounds or solutions or is this beyond any help or solution?
Any push in the right direction will be very appreciated!
I've finally got the green skip from Istiqdam office for my mothers visit visa. However i was told to go to MOFA with it, upon arrival there i was told to come back after applying online again(?) and after a week.
How does this work now? How do i apply online again? I got rejected doing so before and hence went through istiqdam ... does the applying procedure remain the same or do i use some reference from that green slip so that MOFA knows that i have my visa approved from MOI? Will i need to get the online form paid for in Chamber of Commerce again?
If anyone knows the routine for how to proceed after getting green slip from istiqdam for visit visa please ... let me know what and how should do now?
you only need to fill up that form and take it along with that green paper u got from istiqdam. no need for attestation or anything else. did they wrote on ur green paper to come after a week? cuz they did the same with me and i went after 5 days, they accepted the application and i got online response (visa) from them within 3 days.

Ah .. so no need to pay for CoC again? that was confusing me plus no need for any reference to the green paper on the online form?
Yeah they did write come back after one week on the green paper.
Will print the online form and take it along with green paper after 5-7 days back to MOFA.
Thanks for the help .. i hope you and the baby are doing fine

So this permanent Visa for mother is real? Its not some phantom construct to con me out of my money? Because i had not seen or heard of this process before ... My father & siblings are already here because we were on our fathers visa .. however my biological mother died 12 years ago and my father remarried some time back by which time his iqama status had been changed so we find ourself in this limbo.
By the way where can i find this رقم تأشيرة الدخول ? Maybe if i had this no. i can retry again? Or is it not a feasible option due to high rejection rates as you quoted?
Furthermore what is the time frame involved in applying through this other manner for the permanent visa for mother? Do you know of the list of doc's i might need apart from the ones i mentioned prior? I have all of those except my Bachelors degree attested from MOFA (in PAK) which i have no idea how long they take to process it. Also i have been warned by a few of my friends (who have experienced this prior) that its not easy to get this and you that i will eventually end up paying around SAR 6000 to 8000 just to get this permanent visa because of unscrupulous agents/workers within the department issuing this type of visa (is there any truth to this?)
Thanks again for all your help and efforts, they are highly appreciated!
P.S. TheLegendLeads ... have you worked at PeekFreans (EBM) in Pak?
brother what does it means رقم تأشيرة الدخول ... ??

Your application seems fine from what i see, however i cannot verify your company name (is it exactly likes mentioned on the commercial registration?), plus the 700 number.
For those asking me about the permanent visa for the mother, no i havent got it and as i said before from what i know it cannot be applied for.
Recently MOFA has been rejecting applications, I know at least two cases where people had to apply for more than 5 times. The last time, what they did is took all the papers and went to MOFA office personally and checked the status - seems for one there was only two names while its required to be three (name, surname and family name) and then applied and it was approved. The other case it was approved without anything at the 6th time. My advice is to approach MOFA and see whats the issue, if its nothing you can apply again.
Can anyone please guide me in the right direction:
I applied for a visit visa for both my parents through my company. Gave passport copies and 25SR to my company HR dept. The HR dept submitted my paperwork to MOFA. I received a application number and with my ID no (iqama #), I checked online visa.mofa.gov.sa. Online it says please print this. The page shows my parents names and gives a "visa number". What do I do now? Go to the MOI? Or do my parents just take this number to the Saudi embassy in the current country they are in, pay the fee, and get their visa stamped onto their passports?
thanks

Pass over the authority number to your parents and ask them to follow up the request with Saudi embassy in city you've identified at the application when you filled it in. As far as I know they might need to liaise it with one of local broker agencies from those trusted by embassy itself.
hope it helps.

Hello Mr. Zoufan
I have applied visit visa for my wife through online system and even got chamber of commerce done. It has been 15 days but still no update. Can I apply manually for visit visa by MOI? If so, could you please let me know what is the process for applying manually and how much time will they take.
Thanks

Yeah you can apply manually but that way also passes through the online MOFA system, so eventually you will have to wait again. Best is to wait and see the response online and then decide what to do.
MOFA is probably extremely busy (?) right now and therefore things are being done slowly ... If they dont update within the next week try complaining through the online system as well, and then visit MOFA in person (is there a branch office or something similar in Khobar for them?).
Thanks for your reply. Well, there is an office in dammam. I have already raised a ticket through complain system. Hope it helps.
Hello Dear Zoufan
A person in my HR department have submitted all the documents and after that when i am checking online it shows that the request was received on 22nd May. It has been 5 days since they received it. I would like to know how much time will they take to issue the visa. It has been a month since i applied. I will be going to visit the MOFA office tomorrow.

Usually when it says application received on the MOFA website, they take at least 7 days upto 15 days maximum to process it. Now you just have to wait and keep checking online, whatever the outcome, whether the visa is issued, rejected or visiting MOFA along with documents, it will be displayed there on the website.
Going to MOFA before anything appears on the website will be a waste of time for you, they will not entertain.

What was received on the 22nd of May? The visa application or the complaint ticket? If its the visa app. then you need to give it sometime like 7-10 days. If its the complaint ticket and they havent replied back yet then its time to visit the MOFA office and inquire why they are not replying and check on the visa app's status as well.

Same as mentioned above, upon acceptance of application (in your case 26th may) it takes usually 7-10 days for them to accept or reject it.

Where does it say that his application is approved? The application is under review only and is now pending approval or rejection subject to MOFA's discretion.
I believe it is based on personal experiences.Usually you first see message "application received" then "application under process"
then Outcome which is mostly positive.
But you never know they keep changing rules that is why I asked this question from people who have practically faced it.
Please share if any one have update or experience on this.
