Visas for Canadians are still moving a bit slower than usual at immigration in Libya.

The fact  is that what the Embessy is saying is not happening  there and I have also been told that there is no more bussiness/tourist Visa for Canadians.

the word ACCOUNTABILTY comes to mind, greatly lacking on someones part. Either the Embassy is wrong or the passport officer is wrong the question is who and what can be done. Considering nothing is in writing I would assume no one is accountable for anything they say...

Immigration in libya is moving slow is a lot different from saying no visas for canadians to someone.

IS it that the right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing or they just do not want anymore negative media so keeping everyone in the dark and confused is the way for adverting it?
It has got to be really trying for people already living there, I wonder what has been done about this issue at all besides keeping us discussing it on forums and amongst friends, the governments have not said a word about it since Oct.

I have been in contact with Canadian Embessy during past month and they also confimed that Canadians are facing problem in getting Bussiness/ Tourist visas and they are trying to resolve this issue with their counterpart.

Visas now being issued, it's back to normal now.

Can we now close this thread.............. must be a world record holder for activity on Expat.com.

Yes close this thread as now my company confimed that problem for all type of visas for canadians have been resolved. No more issue to discuss
