HGV Fitter - what's the work situation

My husband was born in Malta but has British citizenship and has lived most of his life in UK, however with the kids now off our hands we can please ourselves and are considering relocation to Malta.

He is an HGV mechanic with over 20 years experience of all manner of heavy plant and machinery (buses, trucks etc) and we're wondering what sort of job opportunities there are for him in Malta. He's quite in demand in the UK.

as Arriva buses are always breaking down i would have thought mechanics would be in high demand....

Excellent point! (but one must be able to read workshop manuals in Chinese!!!)
