Post new topic

musicman

ouch!

Alliecat

Bravo, Stretch!

Personally I was too lazy for a lengthy, intelligent reply to this guy--so I resorted to short and sarcastic lol

CAF

Talwar - I would have welcomed you to the forum, but WOW!

Unfortunately, you would never make it in the west, or any other developed country for that matter.  Do stay in the ME for your safety!  :)

musicman

This kind of stereotype thinking emanates from a very poor understanding of peoples, cultures, rights, and generl ways of life around the planet. Its quite common in the third world where education levels are not what they aught to be, sadly, and whatever there is is tainted with similar stereotyped thinking. Its got to change if India wants to be a superpower, that is...

CAF

Musicman - It makes me sad to know there are people who think like this in 2010!   :(

shahab.ali

can anyone cut short and tell me in brief wat the talks are abt? dont have time to read that all...CAF, you might know, i m really busy with work! I work a LOT!!!!!!

Alliecat

You gotta read that guy's post (it's priceless!) and Stretch's reply, shababy.  No short cuts! No Cliff's Notes

belishabeacon

Jeez, Talwar. Are you for real? I'm at a loss for words at what you wrote, so all I can say is - yeah, what Stretch said!

spitfire8

Talwar,  Wow, I actually thought you were kidding and really pulling it off well, until all your anger showed.

I can only echo what Stretch said so intelligently, & what Allie said so succinctly.

Listening to you is like going in a time machine, back to the 8th century. Very "enlightening" except the opinions  are from the dark ages. So I guess I mean it's "informative".  [b]Sad, scary, infuriating, shocking, archaic, chauvanistic, but informative

spitfire8

Dear saynotoriyadh,

Your post made me cry. I'm sending you prayers and peace.

CAF

Shababy - Stop telling stories!  I know your boss!  lol:lol::lol::lol::lol:

musicman

People who keep complaining that they do not have time for this and that, in my view, are exremely poor at Time management...

They wither have taken up more than they can hcew or they simply cant manage time...

period!

aamee_babz

i think you should go for it,
it is going to be hard but nothing comes easy in life, does it?

just do it if u want him :idontagree:

musicman

Everyone wants everything. Not everything you want is good for you. Its not a case of what one wants. Its simply a case of what is good for you.

Make the choice of whats beneficial to you.

Alliecat

"Just do it" might apply when deciding what restaurant to go to or what dress to wear.  But when it comes to MARRIAGE?

I agree with mm... esp. when a bad choice can have such resounding consequences as this one can.

Salman Omrani

Allie, :(

you know "she" is reading this forum.. what are you trying to do ?

Alliecat

And how would I know that, habibi?

musicman

Well, whats the point in posting if she aint gonna see it?

MisterStretch

Perhaps to influence someone else who is facing the same dilemma.

I am pretty sure that the OP gave up reading this thread soon after it was created.

I totally agree, MS.  I'd like to see this thread die, myself.

amyasb

yes, i am the op, and i do read it:)

amyasb

hello, this is amyasb, i did not go through with the marriage....not yet.

Salman Omrani

lol. welcome back amy.

but allie, i meant the other she. lol

musicman

gr8 to see you still around amyasb. make the right choice based on your need, not the way the wind blows.

amyasb

thx salman;)

aamee_babz

try to get to know his backgrownd better like his family and their thinking. coz a man always do what he learn from his parents, specialy when making his own family.

amyasb

i have decided not to marry him.  when he told his family he wanted to marry an american girl, they said no.  as an independent american woman, i cannot accept a man that is a puppet of his family.  i have appreciated all of the posted replies.  all of you had excellent perspectives:)

Salman Omrani

Best of luck with your future. may it be a bright one.

deep ocean

I like the DRAMA in this tread,

simply, Managing both sides expectations is the key to live happily wherever and whoever you are marrying!
