ouch!
Bravo, Stretch!
Personally I was too lazy for a lengthy, intelligent reply to this guy--so I resorted to short and sarcastic lol
Talwar - I would have welcomed you to the forum, but WOW!
Unfortunately, you would never make it in the west, or any other developed country for that matter. Do stay in the ME for your safety!

This kind of stereotype thinking emanates from a very poor understanding of peoples, cultures, rights, and generl ways of life around the planet. Its quite common in the third world where education levels are not what they aught to be, sadly, and whatever there is is tainted with similar stereotyped thinking. Its got to change if India wants to be a superpower, that is...
Musicman - It makes me sad to know there are people who think like this in 2010!
can anyone cut short and tell me in brief wat the talks are abt? dont have time to read that all...CAF, you might know, i m really busy with work! I work a LOT!!!!!!
You gotta read that guy's post (it's priceless!) and Stretch's reply, shababy. No short cuts! No Cliff's Notes
Jeez, Talwar. Are you for real? I'm at a loss for words at what you wrote, so all I can say is - yeah, what Stretch said!
Talwar, Wow, I actually thought you were kidding and really pulling it off well, until all your anger showed.
I can only echo what Stretch said so intelligently, & what Allie said so succinctly.

Listening to you is like going in a time machine, back to the 8th century. Very "enlightening" except the opinions are from the dark ages. So I guess I mean it's "informative". [b]Sad, scary, infuriating, shocking, archaic, chauvanistic, but informative.
Dear saynotoriyadh,
Your post made me cry. I'm sending you prayers and peace.
Shababy - Stop telling stories! I know your boss! lol:lol:

People who keep complaining that they do not have time for this and that, in my view, are exremely poor at Time management...
They wither have taken up more than they can hcew or they simply cant manage time...
period!

Everyone wants everything. Not everything you want is good for you. Its not a case of what one wants. Its simply a case of what is good for you.
Make the choice of whats beneficial to you.
"Just do it" might apply when deciding what restaurant to go to or what dress to wear. But when it comes to MARRIAGE?

I agree with mm... esp. when a bad choice can have such resounding consequences as this one can.
And how would I know that, habibi?

Well, whats the point in posting if she aint gonna see it?
Perhaps to influence someone else who is facing the same dilemma.
I am pretty sure that the OP gave up reading this thread soon after it was created.

I totally agree, MS. I'd like to see this thread die, myself.

gr8 to see you still around amyasb. make the right choice based on your need, not the way the wind blows.
try to get to know his backgrownd better like his family and their thinking. coz a man always do what he learn from his parents, specialy when making his own family.
i have decided not to marry him. when he told his family he wanted to marry an american girl, they said no. as an independent american woman, i cannot accept a man that is a puppet of his family. i have appreciated all of the posted replies. all of you had excellent perspectives:)
I like the DRAMA in this tread,
simply, Managing both sides expectations is the key to live happily wherever and whoever you are marrying!
