Monthly Remittance of Salary

Post new topic

Andliew67

Hi there

anybody knows how I can remit my monthly salary back home?  My salary is paid in RMB and the banks need a monthly tax bill from me before they allow me to convert it to Singapore $ to remit.  My company only provides once a year tax statement.

Are you sure they need a tax bill?

Often it is enough if the bank see a copy of your employment contract and a payment slip from the company.

The easiest is if the company transfer the money into your Chinese bank account and writes the word "salary" as the reason for the transfer.

However, like many things in China the regulations are at open to the understanding of a specific individual and thus might differ somewhat from bank to bank and teller to teller.

Best to ask your bank to confirm that if your employer does indeed transfer the to your account on a regular basis with the word salary if that will be sufficient evidence for them.
