Hi everyone.
I'm planning a move with my pet cat to Cambodia sometime next month. I have already moved him from UK to Greece without any problems, however EU/Asia is a bit different..
I would just like some info from other expats who have moved with pets there.
Mainly about which airlines you used and how it went if your airplane transited anywhere.

I'm trying to go with Qatar from Athens to Bangkok and from there with Bangkok Air to Phnom Penh.
I'm wondering if I need an import permit for transiting through Bangkok?
I know Thai rules and Cambodian varies with the importation of pets, and Cambodia gives less hassle. But I am worried about transiting him through Bangkok.
Since I'm not exiting in Thailand, is an import permit for Thailand needed?
I greatly appreciate any information someone might have.
Thank you!

Aurélie

Hello liyaa.

Welcome to Expat.com! :)

Hope you'll soon be given some useful informations.

PS: Concerning the import permit, maybe you can post your question on the Thailand forum.

Thank you,
Aurélie

As Aaliyah said, best is to check with your airline as they will be the ones taking care of the procedure and should be able to ask the proper authorities for your information.
Make sure to ask both airlines if you're changing in Bangkok.

Good luck !
