This might be a stupid question but if we get our british passports, does that mean we can live in scottland with no visa???  Or will we still need to get a working or visiting visa to live there?  We are from canada and my husbands father was born in england so we are in the process of getting him a passport.  Does anyone know anything about this???  Thanks

Hiya!

A passport gives you full rights as a citizen.  You are like anyone else.

I am from BC too, and moved to the UK five years ago after acquiring a British passport. (My mother was born in the UK) and I've never had a problem dealing with banks, the NHS etc..

Message me if you want to chat on the phone about it  :)

Cheers!

I have been to England on a working holiday, but saw no results in residing their permanently.Has anyone got advice for me besides applying for another working visa.
