Sometimes the stupidity of the mindless masses within the British public sickens me. Those that comment either have the reading age of a 3 year old or are just pure racist fixated on the mans place of origin rather than the facts of the case made clear in the article.

It's everywhere, not only in the UK.

??

She's referring to the comments at the end of the article.  Is that what you're referring to, as well?

Yep. People are posting racist remarks on articles in many, if not all, western publications... so it's not only in DM. Actually, DM is a tabloid publication and the frequency of hate speech there is higher.

Dear All,

The Travel Advice for Saudi Arabia has been reviewed and reissued with an amendment to Travel Summary (acute respiratory illness - novel corona virus). The overall level of the advice has not changed; there are no travel restrictions in place in this travel advice for Saudi Arabia.

'The Health Protection Agency has confirmed a case of acute respiratory illness associated with a novel corona virus in a patient from Qatar who had travelled to Saudi Arabia. For more information, and advice for travellers, see this update from the National Travel Health Network and Centre' http://www.nathnac.org/pro/clinical_upd … corona.htm

You can read the FCO travel advice for Saudi Arabia in full by visiting the FCO's website: www.fco.gov.uk/travel and then selecting Saudi Arabia, or on the Embassy's website http://ukinsaudiarabia.fco.gov.uk/en/he … di-arabia/ via the shortcut menu. Both these websites can be personalised so that you are notified when items of interest to you are changed.

Kind Regards,

The Consular Team

Very true and yes I agree mindless sheeple are everywhere.

Just to clarify, I do not believe the British Embassy has changed travel advice to the Kingdom. General precautions and vaccinations. They haven't advised people avoid unnecessary travel I believe.

I think general precautions any person would ordinarily take on a day to day basis should suffice, but we'll have to see how things go. No sense in going into a mindless panic about a handful of cases.

Correct. It's actually the FCO not the Embassy but you're right.

Then again the FCO is always cautious. I'm sure parts of Switzerland and Belgium are medium risk in their eyes. I think we have litigous Americans to thank for that. :)
