Gents, i just would like to add a comment
the chicken and egg were created by Allah in the same time in heaven as far as i know.....because we can read in the holly quran book says( And He [ALLAH] taught Adam all the names and then display the angels, saying Onbioni"tell me" names of these if ye are truthful)....
so among the names, we find chicken and egg, then when Adam was sent to earth, logically the chicken is meant to be around walking, not egg....

Well that depends on where you are and the time of day.

In the morning if you're in a restaurant then hopefully the eggs come first.

But in the afternoon or evening you want the chicken first.

If you're a vegetarian, the chicken never comes.

If you're vegan, the question is moot.
