I guess the generation today has their different opinion....
" it takes a crane to build a crane,
it makes two floors to make a storey,
it takes an egg to make a hen
it takes a hen to make an egg,
there is no end to what I'm saying.."
jason mraz-life is wonderful
Well since many dinosaurs laid eggs long before chickens existed the egg must have come first. The REAL question is where the heck did the FIRST dinosaur come from then with nothing around to lay the egg???? Hummmmmmmmmmm, I wonder.

The chicken was first.
Something that wasn't quite a chicken, laid a not quite a chicken egg.
Then hatched the first chicken.
This was immediately hunted, killed and turned into a round of chicken sandwiches.
Far better than the previous 'not quite a chicken' sandwiches of old.
Chicken comes first because the chicken's ovaries is necessary for the formation of the egg just like a fetus inside the womb of a woman. The egg therefore can only exist if it has been created inside of a chicken.
Common sense...
Hericles..finally,you give answer to a thread not a question in a question...
And yes, that what I have heard before..the egg shell consist of something that can only produced in hen's ovaries...
So there is NO WAY that egg comes first...
*that BigGuy up there would look so silly sitting on an egg...so I think chicken come first..and as I said..chicken is an egg ways to make another chicken...

now you have common sense, at least you took my adviced. thanks bro.
The egg and the chicken came at the same time. The chicken and the egg are just two different names for the same process or being. It's like water on its way to becoming ice is still water, and vice versa

A different point of view that I like!
If the egg came from the chicken, where did the chicken come from? That's the point of the question.

:rolleyes:dizzy.....
Ofcourse the chicken comes first and don't forget the cock as well. Because without these two their will be no chicks.
I think I don't have to explain how it works....

I think you mean a rooster and not a ''cock''. Big difference.

The word cock have different meanings, yes, so it depends how you want to see it (dirty mind?)

Hericles it's ROOSTER not ROASTER....
roaster - one that roast the chicken
rooster - male chicken

for closing, chicken comes first like God created Adam before Eve and then kids comes along
"It depends. Sometimes after a long day you're simply not in the mood."
Hailey, your first post on this thread was a classic. Thanks for the chuckle!

... and who created God?
Talking about the chicken vs. egg question I belive, that chicken was first. Egg has no legs and can't walk so it naturally can't come then . Now there is next unknown: 'Which was first of these two: rooster or hen?'
