Parissgarcia,

You will most definitely meet some very good folks.  But, the greatest of them all won't be there.  Haaa!!!

On a more serious note, congrats on the new gig.  Vietnam should be fun for you.  Plus, it is only a short and affordable flight from Singapore, so there shouldn't be too much to be nervous about.

Best of luck,
Howie

You've obviously not been to Singapore. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

VietNam's way more interesting than SP. Biggest difference they have more cars than motorcycles. AND the Vietnamese don't hang wet washing on bamboo poles sticking from the sides of high-rises ... to drip on unsuspecting visitors.

But they can always go to Johor Baru to have fun, and eat good seafood.

parissgarcia

Hi Jaitch, I couldn't agree more. Sometimes bamboo falls downstairs.. ouch!!..its quite dangerous. how do people in Vietnam dry their clothes? hang them on clotheslines, rope or electric clothes dryer?

Johor Baru  ROCKS! Cheap for dining and shopping.

Congratulations!
I want to have a contract so that I can move to live, work in Europe or South America but it looks like an illusion cause I'm old but still have little job knowledge and experience.

Hi Lovelife,

I want to thank you for congratulating me on my new job!

No, you are NEVER too old. If that is your dream , then you can move and work in Europe. It is never too late for success. It is a powerful motivator to know that you are not getting any younger.

Jaitch been to SP last year for 3 days before going to Kota Kianabalo ..honestly not my sort of a place for a temporary living, all expensive and SP is a tiny place (tnx to britons)and dont like the accent (excuse me)..lol..VN has a lot to offer as my country do. My kabayan you will find out how many cinemas they got here but ok not crowded and dont be surprised with the dress code (as I noticed) when VNmese go for a movie..I went to see movie on my Pj's teheee.. welcome pls..do drop a Pm when you get here.

parissgarcia

Hi kana812, Thank you for your warm welcome. I love your country for your people, history and all the good things. :) The new adventure begins Monday!

Hi Xavier Patrick, Thank you so much for congratulating me on my new job. I'm excited about the work ahead..

Next year..SOUNDS PERFECT! Best of luck and Hope in your new journey. :)

parissgarcia

Hi honeyclotte.

Having a low cost of living doesn't necessarily mean that a country would be a good place to live or visit. It depends, right..SG doesn’t have have much history, natural resources, population nor the land to feed, but the country transformed in to a financial hub for Asia. Yes..its a small country on a small island but it was built on modern thoughts. That is one thing that really amazes me.

I cannot escape it when I interact with singaporeans..the
"Can lah",and "Cannot lah" :) I had no trouble understanding them But I have to admit... ACCENT is really terrible. :)

SG is a wonderful country but I think It's time for me to leave and experience new things, and get to know new cultures in VN.

Vietnam is rich in natural resources, history, population and is becoming a major manufacturing Center. I am extremely proud and excited to work in this country. I know VN has a lot to offer.

Whats with the cinemas and dress codes dear? Will find out.. :)
Cant Wait. :) See you soon Kabayan. Will PM you.
