I am very upset about the event. 61 people said they wished to attend and only 12 turned up!! 99% of those people didn't even have the decency to let me know.

The 12 who did turn up are all really lovely people and we had a great night. Unfortunately due to peoples bad manners this will the last expat meeting I arrange.

The Team and I are really thankful to Josnuggles for organizing the second Expat.com event in Barhain

She's done a great job in organizing an Expat.com event during her free time. 

And from the 49 who were supposed to attend and who didn't let her know they couldn't finally come, no email / sms or phone call ?

Come on guys, this is not nice / fair !

I am personally disappointed

This is unbelievable! Even though I wasn't there, I'm sure Jo has done an amazing job. She is doing this on her free time and it's very hard to understand most people didn't turn up.

Well Jo, whoever organises the next event (I still wish it's you), don't count the ones didn't come yesterday as coming to the next event. You will have more of a realistic picture.

And to those 12 who turned up, thanks for your support guys.

I want to thank you for the amazing effort you put in to organize such an amazing event. I am still in the essence of yesternight party. It was awesome. Meeting so many amazing people was absolutely fabulous.
Please don't feel bad about those who did't join. They were really unlucky and can not get what they missed.

Please do not say that you are backing out and not gonna arrange anything in the future. Please Don't !

Jo, I won't be thanking you for your great efforts and time dedicated to bring people together and make them have a lovely time as my English might not help me find the right appreciation words that is equivalent to your efforts. All I want to say is keep up the good work; bring people together and those who don't show up, it’s simply their loss as I don't believe they would have the chance to socialize better elsewhere.

Getting to know you guys is a great pleasure; who wants it, is welcomed in and those who don't!!! are missing a good opportunity to get to make some good friends.

Just been on the blog and saw your comments on last nights meeting. Jo honestly, I think the ones who were there are a sign of genuine people and true friends. The rest who didn't have the courtesy to inform you, well they missed out!

Look at it this way, I think organizing two events aint easy. You've done a great job - you should be proud of what you've achieved. thanks

I've been in Bahrain just over two years and no one has ever taken the initiative to organize such get togethers! The fact you've organized two in a short space of time and have not been in Bahrain as long as the others, well I think it deserves a big pat on the back! Well done for all your efforts and hard work. You've also put Bahrain on the map and taken it to another level. 

I saw Julien' (founder of Expat.com) comment too. Even he's disappointed in the others who failed to inform you. Although, he knows, you've done a dam good job. 

The way I look at it Jo, you've taken Bahrain to another level and raised its profile. So in my view, there are a handful of people on this small island that appreciate your hard work. Although I wasn't there, I am grateful for your good work, not only on organizing this get together, but also on the forum to help others out! 

You're a valued member on the Bahrain Expat.com! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise..

It is nice to know that we have good friends here and I will surely miss you when you move. BUT once you are settled I will come visit, that way I have something nice to look forward to

I did like our idea of just getting a select few and having the party here at our house though

For me, on 17th January, I med over 13 number new nice friends, I believe with help of these friends we can build up a strong durable Bahrain Expat community, lets keep go on.

Is that an order Sal?? lol. I agree that we all made new friends and had a great night. Just peeved that people didn't say that they couldn't attend. BUT the best bit was, that because there were only a few of us, we had much more time with each other. The last meeting I was running around like an idiot trying to find time to chat with everyone
