I use a canister filter system for drinking water.
They are readily available at most larger department stores, unfortunately the "made in Malaysia" is inferior to the "made in Korea".
If you can find one of Korean manufacture, they are best, in terms of quality and upkeep.
As to a whole-house filtration system...sorry, I know nothing of that.
