Hello all,

I am new to Mauritius.

Can I know whether there is any shop selling Japanese / Korean product (i.e. noodle, items for sushi, KimChi & Green Tea etc)?

Is there any Japanese / Korean restaurant in Mauritius too?

Thank you very much. :)

Julien

Hi,

there is one Korean restaurant in Port Louis, called Kimchi house (not far from the North bus station)

Hi, t

There is a Daiso in Bagatelle Shopping Centre (for Japanese products) and China Town in Port Louis also stocks some items.

As for food, no good Japanese restaurants I'm afraid other than the (very) pricey hotel options. Food Lovers (again in Bagatelle) does have a sushi counter but we've yet to give it a try.

Itadakimasu!

Sushi at the Hennasey Hotel in Ebene is  superb :)

Hello all,

Thank you very much for your information.  I will try them out.

Cheers,

HeyJude

There is Sakura in Grand Baie, http://sakura.restaurant.mu/.

They have been in business for over 20 years and serve Sushi, Sashimi, Maki, Yaki–Tori, Shabu-Shabu, Tempura and Sukiyaki.  They also have 4 "Teppan-Yaki" tables and we have really enjoyed that.

The decor leaves a lot to be desired but we have always had good service and good food.

HeyJude

There is also the Red Cat in Pereybere which has a "Japanese Room".

So there's no japanese or korean supermarket in the whole entire island? Only some jap or kor restaurants?

Miss cooking my own jap style food.

Maybe we can ask for the suppliers from those restaurants?
