international school and overall security

Hi all,
We are a family (3 kids 13, 10 & 6) - we shall soon leave on a world tour (for work) and were looking into a 4 month stay (a term in an International school) in Buenos Aires... However, recently, we have been hearing stories about kidnapping, increased security issues, and so on in Argentina (which quite honestly really surprised me!). Do you have children - any comments? Thanks in advance!!!!

It depends which part of Buenos you are staying. We have been living here nearly 4 years and my kid attending Lincoln American International school, and I saw many kids aged 13 who live nearby come and go home after school on their own ( with written consent by parent). But be on alert is good, these kind of things can happen anywhere.
