Best zone in Florence to live

Hi All!

My husband and I currently live in northern Italy but will be moving to Florence in the next upcoming months. Can anyone recommend a great residential zone in Florence to live? We wouldn't mind a 25 minute walk into the heart of the city in order to get away from the noise and see some greenery of the countryside. I'll be taking a course near the train station and don't really want to be dependent on public transportation, i'd rather use my bike or walk.

All the help would be greatly appreciated as we are clueless in our search :)

Thanks!

Aurélie
