That's more about phone bills than bigotry.

I was born muslim but raise us christians and everything I knew in being christian has been explained and proved by Islam......
So does that mean the first religion must be the real one or not?
There IS only one religion!
God is above worldly classifications like "he", "she" or "it", "one" or "many". But surely he (she/it/they) does not like us to fight about our differences instead of enjoying the diversity of cultures and religions he (she/it/they) enabled us humans to have.

1 With ALL his/her/its/theirs ALLMighty power, remove, hatred, hunger and suffering from all living things forever.
2 If you were a parent, would you permit your children to beat up one another, or worse kill each another?
So why is the ALLMighty allowing this to happen?
That is just a simple start to your rethinking.
We are killing in his/her/its/theirs different names to us. Shouldnt the ALLMighty appear to stop this misunderstanding so that ALL humans can live in peace and love for each other?
There wont be a need to ask which is the first, second or even have a religion.
A little indian man did that not too long ago to stop his people from killing each other. He appeared and asked to stop the killing of his country men.

Yes, and then Gandhi himself was killed.
It's a fact that we humans are not perfect and tend to quarrel and fight. Unfortunately I don't know why the gods do not improve us (if they could).

How about... there is no god?
Just because we don't have answers to some questions we hold on to the ancient omni answer that there is a more superior being.
In the 14th century the earth was FLAT!
Some people even been to outer space still pray towards a spot on earth!
I wouldn't do that as believing in nothing won't go well with 80% of the world, even if the nothing was god! It goes against the believe that god is almighty and or all beautiful.
You cannot use the defence that god asked you to kill another person. However, it is acceptable you kill another in the name of religion! This is TODAY!

No, it is not!
That's what I meant (and 99% of the world population agree with me).

have you just arrived on earth?
Everybody I ever met, from any culture, religion and background, agreed with me that killing others in the name of God is not o.k.
It is also illegal to do so in all countries and legislations in the world.
Thankfully, religious fanatics are such a small minority that I haven't met one yet - they are definitely less than 1%, but I think there are no exact statistics. Do YOU belong to them???
It was all base in the law of God, example A man stab someone and died, now the family of the deceased can either accept the blood money or will hung him till dead. there is an option in every situation just like in court trial.

You are talking to those who share your points of view
= people of similiar background OR faith.
Things are different in other societies and they have their own laws.
Have you lived in the Middle East or Pakistan?
If you were a female, you would be subject to different dress codes, OR suffer the consequences!
hELLnoi wrote:JasfurJQ has just introduced a law you havent heard of - Blood Money!
don't forget you only believed in yourself that's why your living alone so HELL you care anyway.....
no need for intro it's written in the holy book and people like you is also written.......

In every religion God never ask us to kill each other in His name.
He gave us brains and the possibility to think and use our mind in a good way.
You can never blaim Him for the situation which mankind started it. WE are responsible for our actions and not Him.

It is NEVER acceptable!
Unfortionally there are men who think they can and they will....

I live in the Middle East and I am not a subject to any dress code.
You can dress what you want or like, ofcourse there is some limits but that is every where.
Sorry, didn't saw your last sentence.
I heard many times that it is forbidden for a muslim to convert to another religion. But for this reason to kill?
To be honest I am not sure if this is the "punishment.
Maybe others can answer this.
hELLnoi: You have probably never lived with or around Muslim people, otherwise you would know that they are generally friendly and tolerant. (This is actually my own experience in Southeast Asia and Arabia.)
Like other religions (Catholic, Hindu, or Buddhist), Islam has a noisy and aggressive fanatic minority that (unfortunately) gets most of the media attention for their irrational acts and distorts the view of people like you. Please learn to see through such scandalmongering and start to make up your own opinion!
I stand by my statement that at least 99% of us humans are good-natured.
I also know a number of converts from one religion to another (including some from Islam to others) and none of them seems more or less happy than before. Therefore it seems to me it does not matter much how - or even if - you worship the God(s).
HaileyinHongKong wrote:mas fred wrote:Having many religions is absolutely no problem.
Having extremists in those religions who know they are so right, they're willing to kill everyone else, is a massive problem.
It tends to be Muslim, Christian or Jewish nutters that cause most of the grief whilst the vast majority of those groups just wish the idiot end would just stop it or curl up and die in a hole somewhere.
Why don't Buddhists, Hindus, Taoists, etc go around killing each other?
as long as there is a religion , there would be some extremist that is willing to kill in its name , u think buddhists & hindus don't do that
buddhists , google for myanmar & what the buddhists do to muslims there , how it's forbidden for muslim to get married to each other or to give birth & if some women got pregnant they gut the child out of her
as for hindu you can check about the hate crimes & the wars that happened in india last century
not sure wat is taoist means

dude there is some opinions that say that u can't use certain spices in food , or that u can't congratulate non muslims on their holidays .
but that is all that is , jst opinion , even in muslim countires you're allowed to change your faith
in islam basically there are alllllllllllllllllllot of opinion regarding the same thing .
the ones that are enforced are the ones based on the quaran " holy book " & they are quite few & need absolute certainty to enforce it
for examble > if you killed somebody . u get killed . how ever . they have to be sure that u did kill him , that u wasn't at any condition that clouded your judgement . that you knew wat you were doing & that u meant to kill him ,
only then you get killed , if the judges arn't sure of any of the previous cases even if you killed him . u get lighter sentence that death .
in some offenses u can stop the punishment by jst swearing that u didn't do it ,
that is why in most of the islamic country . they carry man made laws

i've never been outside egypt , that being said , i already know allot of converts , in & out of islam . so pretty much nothing

as i said earlier , ppl kill in the name of the god " not really
they don't kill for god or religion , they jst use god & religion .
God created life -if u're not atheist u agree with me - so why on earth wud we take life in his name
one life is sth that all of the world combined wudn't be able to restore . so . no
God never asked us to take lives . he asked us to preserve it . to help each other to make it better .
so why do ppl kill ppl
for greed , for power , for money - they jst jam god & religion to justify it
it's really killing in name of the devil .

Please consider,Benjamin, that one religion for all the world is coming very soon. But in order for it to be, requires implementing a LAW. A LAW REQUIRING OBSERVANCE!!.That will be the end of FREEDOM OF CHOICE, as we do have yet today.
HaileyinHongKong wrote: Why don't Buddhists, Hindus, Taoists, etc go around killing each other?
Well, actually they do. Recently, there has been a religious outbreak in the Rakhine state of Myanmar, between the Buddhists and the Islamic Bengali there. This happened just because a gang of teenage Bengali raped a young Rakhine girl. Generalizing that all Muslims are bad, war raged across the cities and state and the grudge grew between neighbors, business partners and friends. Buddhists in Yangon also expressed their grief and anger towards the Islamic race in Myanmar. Even one of them quoted: "We want to wipe them out!" (Sorry, no offense)Not only did it draw International attention, Hillary Clinton even requested aid to be sent to the Bengali suffering in Myanmar. Then, came the ripple effect which spread to neighboring countries and Bangladesh as well where Buddhist temples were burnt to the ground. Due to the biased support towards the Bengali, the Burmese's resent deepened, even towards their long-relied-upon news channels for politics like VOA, BBC and RFA. The Burmese Buddhists took revenge by killing more Bengali and even burning Balis. The Burmese Govt, as expected, supported the Buddhists (since they are the majority and would give votes to the U Thein Sein Govt)...and so on.
What I mean to say is that every religion is against each other and making all sorts of excuses to make war. You can also look at George W. Bush generalizing all the Muslims to be terrorists. No wonder the movie, "My Name is Khan and I am not a Terrorist," was filmed.
Though it's very difficult to create a single religious view, it's not impossible. Just take the case of Adolf Hitler. I realize he was a madman, slaughtering lives and invading countries just to spread his evil Nazism. However, if we can approach each other with kindness and sympathy (opposite of what Hitler did), maybe we can "similarize" our thoughts as well.
"Don't look at muslims cause they are not perfect, learn from Islam,"

i know that...
There is also a militant Hindu supremacist movement in India, and there was a Buddhist/Shintoist one in japan before WW2.
There is no point in arguing which religion is more or less peaceful, but you should understand that ALL of these militants actually violate the religion they claim to fight for, as NO religion promotes killing or fighting against others.
beppi wrote:... as NO religion promotes killing or fighting against others.
Read the Bible, Koran and Haddith
You already quote Buddhism which is technically not a religion. There is NO God in Buddhism.

oh so you read these books and for sure you did'nt undestand cause youre heart is full of anger and I hope you have your own scriputes more than these books........HELL.

Edited to add:
Who says religion needs a God?
Look at Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion - quote below shortened and highlighted by me):
Religion is an organized collection of belief systems, cultural systems, and world views that relate humanity to spirituality and, sometimes, to moral values. [...]
The practice of a religion may also include rituals, sermons, commemoration or veneration of a deity, gods or goddesses, [...].
hELLnoi, now please stop preaching hatred that is not needed in this world!
I think how excited the few people here are getting shows why there can't be only one religion. Take these comments and multiply them by a billion and then ask why there are many different religions.
