hi, im thinking of moving to malllorca, from berlin, for many reasons but one reason i hesitate is that it appears to me to be so spread out and not really have efficient public transport.
im originally from california (burnt out on driving!!) :)and have been an expat loving EU transportation systems for years. thanks

Depends on where you're going to base yourself. If you're going to be living and working in Palma (the capital) then I'd say no. It's got a good bus system, but I don't know how well the outlying parts of the island are served.
Have fun, Jeremy Dean

If you live and work in Palma, no need for a car. Mallorca is somewhat spread out, but there are public buses all over the island, and very good infrastructure.
